I have wonderful friends.  Not just because they put up with me, but because, when I really need them, they help me out and make me realize that things aren't always as bad as I convince myself.

People change.  Sometimes for the better, sometimes not.  But regardless of that, nothing ends.  Even if you've grown more distant from the people you care about, you still have your memories and the things you've already done.  Hopefully that's enough to bring you closer again, but even if it's not, you can still remember.

But at the same time, your past does not completely define who you are.  Everyone has done things that they aren't proud of, or that scare them, or whatever.  But just the act of feeling genuine remorse shows that you've at least started to move away from the person that you're scared you'll become.

Thanks to all my friends who help pull my head out of my ass.

I am exhausted.

I just spent the last few hours building a fire ring and am very tired.  I also have no idea what to do later today.  I am considering going and doing my usual thing:  chilling out with friends and potentially jamming.  Perhaps I'll touch up the mural I painted, will probably post pictures so you guys can check it out.

I also fed my pet snake, Asclepius, yesterday.  It is very strange feeding a pet live animals that are biologically more closely related to you than the pet is.  Just food for thought.

THE BATTLE OF THE ANTS

This is one of my favorite passages from Aleister Crowley's Book Of Lies

I gave a lecture about this passage today during my lunch hour for one of my school's seventh grade classes.  They seemed very interested in it, and the teacher wants me to do it again at some point.

That is not which is.
The only Word is Silence.
The only Meaning of that Word is not.
Thoughts are false.
Fatherhood is unity disguised as duality.
Peace implies war.
Power implies war.
Harmony implies war.
Victory implies war.
Glory implies war.
Foundation implies war.
Alas! for the Kingdom wherein all these are at war.

Kickoff.

Well, this is my first post.  I'm writing this on my shabby computer in my school uniform, wondering exactly why it is I'm doing this.  But that's of no consequence, I suppose.  Today has been fairly typical and uninteresting:  I got up, went to school, sat in my usual stupor, came home, sat down, and decided to write this after seeing my cousin's blog,http://monochromatic-ouevre.blogspot.com.  We'll see what happens with this, it should be fun.  Hopefully.
